Kelly Barnes: Canonisation of Mary MacKillop
In the small country town of Penola in the south east of South Australia, Mary MacKillop started her first catholic school for the under privileged children in the area.
On the 18th of October, 2010 Mary MacKillop became Australia’s first Saint. Pilgrims from around the country joined with locals to celebrate the life and canonisation of Mary.
