Sam Mooy: Outback Eye - for The Australian
The Royal Flying Doctor Outback Eye Service at Bourke provides regular ophthalmic outpatient services to rural and remote NSW and undertakes ophthalmic surgery at Bourke District Hospital. The RFDS Outback Eye service was established in 2000 and it treats around 1200 patients a year. The most common surgerical procedure performed is Cataract removal.
